If you're like me, shooting new headshots is not exactly your cup of tea. The pressure of finding an image that looks like you while expressing your personality and the types of roles you'd like to play without trying to hard often makes me feel overwhelmed. This time, I decided to shoot with a favorite photographer, do my own hair and makeup, and just see what we get.

Best. Decision. I.  Have.  Made.

The reason I believe it worked? I trusted the photographer. Her name is Rebekah Apodaca, and I am a huge fan of her work in general. This woman can go from fashion, to weddings to headshots without skipping a click! She kept the energy light and fun- I mean, we got coffee at a sweet little joint called Zendo in the middle of our shoot, and even that turned into some good photo opportunities!

When I received the images I had a hard time narrowing it down to just three ( that's why in the end I chose four ;-)) and when I asked some close friends and family member's to take a look and help me narrow it down, their response was, "wow, she really caught your essence and personality." What?? Mission accomplished if I do say so myself.

If you are interested in seeing more of Rebekah's work and potentially booking a session you can find her on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/RebekahApodacaPhotography/) and Instagram (@rebekah.apodaca.photography)
